Over the weekend, Tom featured in the Racing Post’s The Big Read written by Lambourn correspondent James Burn. Pictured alongside Richard Kingscote, Lizzie Lea and Andy Jackson, Tom and Uplands took centre stage on the double page spread as Tom discussed how he initially got into training, the process of finding himself a new yard and his thoughts on the season ahead.

In the interview, Tom recalls tales from his time as a jump jockey for Martin Pipe, outlines how Ralph Beckett and Mike de Kock shaped his decision to become a trainer and mentions how his father, Bill, made sure he has his O-Levels before letting him pursue a career in racing!
