Purchased at Goffs Premier Yearling Sale for £10,000. Lucky Vega was a high class two-year-old winning on debut and later on landing the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh. He went on to be placed in both Guineas and the St James Palace Stakes at three. The Broodmare sire Monsun has produced high class horses such as Waldgeist, Sea The Moon and Vadeni. Tom successfully trained two of this colts siblings to a decent level in Light My Fire and Porchy Party.
